Our Heritage

Formed in 2010, the Scottish Borders Pipe Band was created with a clear and unique vision: to provide a platform for Borderers to compete at the highest levels of the pipe band circuit, while still allowing them to support and perform with their own local town bands.

We made our mark immediately. In our debut 2011 season, we entered Grade 4A and were crowned World Champions. Since that historic first year, the band has steadily climbed the ranks and claimed numerous major championships along the way.

Championship Standard

Today, we are a premier competitive outfit. Following a dominant 2025 season in Grade 3B—which included winning the Scottish and British Championships, placing 4th at the European and World Championships, and our drum corps securing the prestigious Champion of Champions title—the band now proudly competes in Grade 3A.

Local Roots, International Reach

From the heart of the Scottish Borders to the continent, the Scottish Borders Pipe Band delivers world-class performances. We are deeply proud of our roots and regularly perform at local festivals and events throughout the Borders all year round.

Beyond our local commitments, the band is highly experienced in international travel. We are frequently invited to perform at major international festivals across Europe, having recently entertained crowds in Spain, Italy, and France. Whether you are hosting a local community event or a major European festival, we bring championship-quality music and a spectacular visual presence.
